How to export contacts from Facebook.
Transcripts:
So Facebook is a really great place for kind of building an audience for your website or blog. It’s one of the top social networks on the web right now. However, one problem that is often faced with Facebook is the inability to export contacts. So today I’m going to show you kind of a hack, a way to export your contacts using Yahoo’s free email service.
So I’m signed in to Yahoo.com and I want to go into my mail account and then select contacts and then I see here “New! Import email addresses from your Facebook friends to Yahoo! Contacts”. So I hit Get Started and I select my Facebook and I’m already logged in so it says share with Yahoo “Do you want to share your contacts with Yahoo?” I’m going to hit OK. And it’s going to do its thing … Right. So found 116 contacts so far, all right. And I can go and I can view these imported contacts and I can also export them as well.
So in order to have the contacts I’m going to go ahead and export these. And let’s go ahead and let’s see here … let’s go ahead and export these as CSV file, since that’s pretty universal. All right, so there we go! I’ve just exported these, I can open this up in Excel or some other format and then I can go and use these for multiple purposes. I can add these email contacts to my email newsletter program, I can go to LinkedIn and import them so I have kind of cross-referencing.
So there’s a lot of different uses for this and it’s the only way that I found to easily export contacts from your Facebook.
